About Us

Polish Cultural Festival Association is a non-profit organisation aiming to promote Polish culture in Scotland and support Polish-Scottish integration. The work of the organisation concentrates around organising the very first Polish Cultural Festival in Edinburgh.

This festival has been programmed, fund-raised, organised and staffed entirely by a voluntary network of Polish people most of whom are under 30 and all of whom work full-time alongside these commitments. It's taken a year of hard work and in making it to the finish line.

The team consists of 17 committed individuals who each bring experience of managing large scale artistic events, short film festivals, performance events, visual arts projects, exhibitions, conferences.

“I hope that this festival will not only help the integration process but also help people to understand Polish culture better and through this to understand Poles even without knowing the language of our country."

Aleksander Dietkow, Consul General of the Republic of Poland

“The programme on offer from the Polish Cultural Festival Association will, I believe, be of enormous appeal both to the many Polish people in Scotland and also to wider Scottish community. I'm enormously impressed by the outstanding efficiency and enthusiasm of those who are organising the festival.”

Malcolm Chisholm, MSP for Edinburgh North and Leith

“In the years to come, Polish arts will take on elements of Celtic and Scots artistic flows, whilst Scottish people, including our artists will start to include, consciously or otherwise, Polish flavours, nuances, styles. I believe it is within the best traditions of Scotland to support this ever-moving flow of culture and ask you to generously support this great initiative.”
